What is a Green Card for a car

A Green Card is an international compulsory motor third-party liability policy for traveling abroad. It covers damage caused to third parties in an accident that is your fault outside Ukraine. The policy is required for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles leaving Ukraine.

Risks covered by a Green Card policy

  • material damage to third parties (vehicle repair, infrastructure);
  • medical treatment costs for accident victims;
  • compensation for moral damage or loss of working capacity.

Coverage limits depend on the country and in Europe can reach millions of euros. The policy does not cover repairs to your own car or your medical costs — for that you need CASCO or additional medical insurance.

  • select the travel destination;
  • choose the vehicle type (passenger car, motorcycle, truck, bus or trailer);
  • choose the stay period (from 15 days up to 1 year).
